INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Kankakee County State's Attorney’s Office offers internships to high school seniors, college (undergrad and grad school) students and law students throughout the year. These internships offer students a unique opportunity to be part of a prosecutor's office. These internships are ideal for students pursuing a career in law or social work. An intern’s duties may include assisting in investigations, attending trials, preparing and compiling documents and financial data, conducting and analyzing legal research, supporting community outreach programs, drafting legal memos and assisting attorneys with various projects as needed. Interns are assigned to a department, courtroom, attorney or specialized bureau. High-school students may not be assigned to the juvenile justice bureau.
