A Better Kankakee County

The Kankakee County State's Attorneys' Office announces these new initiatives:

Kankakee County State's Attorney Jim Rowe has formed a “Public Integrity Bureau" to investigate and prosecute allegations of public corruption.  This portal makes it possible for those with knowledge of corruption in local government to report the wrongdoing, and to remain anonymous if they so choose.  Click the "Report Fraud" button to blow the whistle on waste and fraud.

The State's Attorney Citizens' Academy provides local residents with an insider's view of the Kankakee County criminal justice sytem, incorporating real-life case reviews, expert presentations, and on-scene classes into a ten-week curriculum.  Click the flyer for more information, class dates/times, topics, etc.

This program is FREE to all participants.

The State's Attorney's Youth Advisory Board gives young people an opportunity to serve as leaders, while providing a tremendous benefit to the Office and our county.  The mission of the Board is to educate the community about current issues affecting young people, spread awareness about the needs and challenges of youth, and create positive change throughout the community that leads to a reduction in crime and truancy.

We encourage high-school seniors, college students and law school students to seek out internship opportunities in the criminal justice system, including with the State's Attorney's Office.  Learn more by clicking the above link.
